About
SUIRIS is a multimedia project by the artist collective El Patrol, dedicated to exploring the intersection of art and science. Aiming to deepen the understanding of electromagnetic radiation (EMF), we work on a series focused on shielding against disruptive frequencies. Within this framework, fashion becomes an artistic medium: we create pieces that offer effective EMF protection while cultivating awareness of the invisible forces that surround us.
The material used in our shielding fashion objects is a unique high-tech fabric, developed in Switzerland. At its core is the world’s finest thread: a world-record-holding ultra-thin real silver wire of just 0.02 mm in diameter, encased in copper and organic cotton. The result is a luxury textile Faraday cage that blocks up to 99.9999% of electromagnetic radiation (EMF). Unlike common insulation fabrics using nylon yarn sprayed with silver, our woven silver construction is free from harmful nanoparticles and unmatched in function, quality, and durability.
The fabric’s first large-scale application was in the military, shielding aircraft and sensitive systems from electromagnetic interference. Yet electromagnetic waves not only power modern technology—they also sustain vital human functions. This raises a simple question: if high-tech shielding can protect military equipment, why not also shield the human body?
Suiris headscarves block all unwanted radiation. Use your mobile device without hesitation.
